I enjoy drinking but I hate getting drunk.  I’m definitely not an alcoholic!  All I want to do is healthily enjoy alcohol.

As a sake enthusiast, I enrolled in the sake education courses organized by Wine & Spirit Education Trust (WSET) in Toronto, Canada.  Upon successful completion of the highest level of all WSET Sake courses, “Level 3 Award in Sake”, I achieved a “Pass with Distinction” in the Tasting examination, and a “Pass with Merit” in Theory examination.

With a detailed understanding of the sake production methods, I later invented new recipes to create Sake Chocolates and Sake-kasu Chocolates.  Then my company, Ecila Choco Inc., was established, and now it’s operated under the trade name as Ecila Sake Chocolates.

I’ve transformed myself from a television executive producer into a sake professional, and continue seeking ways to develop my expertise in sake.  Some of my friends thought that it’s a shame because I made a radical career change after I gained years of solid experience as TV industry practitioner and had to give up a good job.  Whereas I enjoy what I am going through, and I regard the knowledge and skills I’ve built over the years from my university education and past jobs as a great asset to help promote sake and Ecila Sake Chocolates.

Aside from drinking and video-filming, my favourite things include motorcycling (I own a Suzuki GSXR 750cc), skiing, snowboarding, horseback riding, hiking, camping, canoeing, fine dining, food & beverage pairing, traveling, photography, daydreaming, and spending time with friends and family in cottage.
